Bishop Queen Mother Sherma Edwards is a humble servant of God, walking in obedience to His divine calling. As the Overseer and Founder of St. Catherine’s Spiritual Baptist Ministries, she remains devoted to leading God’s people with wisdom, grace, and unwavering faith.
Raised in the Roman Catholic tradition in Trinidad, she carried her deep reverence for God to the United States. However, in the 1980s, the Lord began to stir her spirit, calling her into the Baptist Faith. Though she initially resisted, His voice could not be denied. Under the guidance of Mother Cynthia Irving, she was baptized and later took her 1st Throne of Grace in 1988, fully surrendering to God’s plan under Pointer Mervyn Williams.
Through many trials and tests, Bishop Queen Mother remained steadfast, leaning on the True and Living God. In a sacred moment during one of her Thrones of Grace, she received a divine mandate—to establish a sanctuary for all who seek salvation and spiritual renewal. Out of that holy calling, St. Catherine’s Spiritual Baptist Ministries was born. In 2006, the ministry was divinely relocated to Longwood, Florida, where it continues to flourish under God’s anointing.
Now elevated to the sacred office of Bishop Queen Mother, she walks in divine obedience, ever seeking a deeper connection with the Holy Spirit. Her mission remains clear: to serve, uplift, and lead souls into the Kingdom of God. She believes that when the Lord calls, His faithful must answer, for in Him, there is purpose, power, and eternal peace.
