SCRIPTURE:

Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

DEVOTION:

Our relationship with our LORD is largely dependent upon our faith. When we come to Father, we must believe that He exists and that He is exactly who He says that He is in the Scriptures. We must believe that He will respond when we diligently seek Him. Do you ever feel like your prayers or requests to God are falling on deaf ears? When it seems that you are doing everything you think He wants you to do, and nothing seems to be working in your favor. STOP!!! Take some time and have a “One on One” with God. Ask Him to search your heart and bring to your remembrance anything or anyone you have not asked forgiveness for or to. During your “One on One” with God, do less talking and more listening. Sometimes we get so caught up on what we have to tell God or ask God we forget that Father has a lot to say to us. All He asks is that we listen and walk according to His instructions. Trust that He always wants the best for us in ALL THINGS, but we must walk according to His Will and according to His Word. Our walk should be one filled with FAITH, knowing that although Father may not give us what we want but HE WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU!!

Faith is like coming to the end of all light that you know, and you are about to step into the darkness, Faith is knowing that one of 2 things will happen… “You will step on something solid, or God will teach you how to fly.”

REFLECTION & SHARING:

Ask yourself. Do I lack faith? If I do, why? What am I going to do about it?

Faith!!! All these thingss suddenly popping up in my head.... Faith without works is dead.... Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence not seen... By faith Abraham trusted God that Father would provide a lamb for the sacrifice instead of his son Isaac... By Faith Hannah gave her son back to God without even having conceived... By Faith, Moses was hidden by his mother because they were not afraid of the king's commandment... By Faith, Rehab hid the spies and saved her family's lives.... Ohhh Father teach me to have such faith. Oh Lord, help me to trust you that what you said you will do, you will surely do even if I cannot see any evidence that you are doing it!! Oh God, please keep me sober and vigilant that my faith in you will never fail. Mercy Lord Mercy.... I know you are able!!!

Faith in the existence of God is something I always had since a little girl. What i am learning is to not limit what God can do in my life. I don't always ask God for things due to not wanting to be disappointed. I am learning what my purpose is and that God has me every step off the way and that concept has strengthened my faith!

My impatience with a problem or situation is a sign that I’m struggling with faith. We’re told to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us, but I cast them and then pick them right back up out of impatience.

Exercising faith in the waiting takes immense strength. Over the last two years, I’ve learned that sometimes God’s answer to our prayers is simply WAIT. I even heard Him say it to me once, loud and clear. But not long after, I found myself going back to Him, saying, Lord, I’m still here waiting. And He reminded me again through scripture: Wait on the Lord, be of good courage. Waiting isn’t easy, but I know now that it’s part of the process.

Let us find comfort in knowing that Faith isn’t the absence of struggle; it’s the persistence to trust even when waiting feels unbearable.
