Scripture-
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29 (KJV)
Devotion-
You know how when you hang out with someone a lot, you start liking the things they like, saying the things they say, or even laughing the same way.
That’s exactly what Jesus wants for us—He’s saying, “Hang with me, and you’ll start living the way I do.” Love what really matters instead of chasing worldly pleasures. Choose kindness over arrogance, gentleness over pride. When we do that, that’s the real secret to inner peace, joy, and unshakable hope. It all comes down to cultivating that deep, daily relationship with Him.
Reflection & Sharing-
How does spending time with God bring you peace, and how can you seek more of that in your daily life?

We wonder why it's easier to show pride over gentleness or arrogance over kindness. It's easier because those are defense mechanisms. When I'm in the presence of The Most High I can feel peace because I don't have to prove anything or protect my feelings from my Father, I can show vulnerability. My prayer today is to feel the presence of God more in my day to day so I can be vulnerable and bring my defenses down and show love to others!
Thanks for letting me on the list
Humility is not something that the World looks upon fondly. I know I found it very difficult to play the political games when I worked in corporate America. I did not go out for drinks or go clubbing with the "in" crowd. I was passed up for many promotions because I was not like them. Do I want to be like them? Maybe at one time but knowing the peace and joy that I feel doing the things of God cannot be compared to playing the corporate game. Lord I am thankful that you have provided an example of Humility for me to follow. I ask that you continue to guide me how to be more humble in my day to day walk. Teach me how to be more humble like your son Yeshua Messiah and not puffed up like the world
Amen
